“stroke of midnight” halloween tryptic…

i was able to work out the deets for this class sooner than i thought, so for those of you who were curious to see the project that the “teasers” i posted yesterday came from, i’m ready to share!

this hauntingly boo-tiful halloween decor piece will get your spook-tacular decorating off to a great start! fabulous vintage-style papers from Graphic 45′s Happy Haunting Collection along with lots of inky goodies from Clearsnap: Smooch Spritz, Smooch Accent Ink, ColorBox Pigment and Chalk Inks, Top Boss Embossing Pads and Powders, the NEW! Sprinkles! Chunky Glitter and MORE! also included are treasures and trinkets from my junque stash!

happy halloween!

it’s halloween!!!

one of my FAVE-o-RITE holidays! what’s not to like? bright fun colors, fun, funky and spooky costumes and lots and LOTS of candy!

another REMINISCE snEaK PeEk…

today i want  to share the other project i did for REMINISCE using one of their BRAND NEW LINES…

are you ready for sPoOky, with a touch of KoOkY? are you ready to think pumpkins, and costumes and CANDY? you’ve got to get in the right frame of mind for it… i KNOW it’s the middle of summer, but think ahead to crisp fall days, a full moon, and HALLOWEEN!!!

the project started with a tree branch that i “painted” black using Smooch Spritz in Black Velvet. then, i deconstructed a 7 gypsies accordion chipboard book and used the chipboard pieces to hang in rows. they were “smooched-up” too using colors that coordinated witht the line: Cherry Ice, Limolicious, Citrus Tickle, Wine Berry, Frost Grape, Carrot Cke, Gingersnap, Black Velvet and Silver Foil. i punched holes in the sides of some pieces so that i could tie ribbons to connect them so the whole thing would hang correctly. you could just cut up and use chipboard in any size you wish though.

then, i just started adding bits of the HALLOWEEN PARTY paper and embellishments along with some photos of past Halloweens.

i think this would make a cute decor piece to remind you of all the fun or SCARY costumes your kids have dressed up in over the years!
