Clearsnap will be giving away an assortment of Stephanie Barnard Colorbox Premium Dye inks. Enter to win using the widget on the Clearsnap blog and by leaving a comment on each blog in the hop {list below project}.

Now that you have the details, here’s my project…

christmas tree card - stephanie barnard,colorbox,clearsnap,sprinkles chunky glitter,dye ink,premium dye ink,christmas papercraft,stamped card,tami sanders - card (682x1024)

This quick and easy card coordinates with the mini garland project I posted on the Clearsnap Blog – you should have seen it if you began the Hop at the beginning. If you are jumping in at the middle, or just came to visit my blog, please check the list below this project to start the Hop at the start – the Clearsnap Blog.

So if you make the garland, you’ll already have most of what you need out to make this card, so why not make BOTH!

The yellow background was made using Stephanie Barnard Sprays! in Banana. The images were stamped using Stepahnie Barnard Premium Dye Inks: Spearmint for the trees, Strawberry for Love, Guava for Peace and Blueberry for Joy. The outline stars were stamped in Chocolate. All of the glitter – Sprinkles! Chunky Glitter – was applied using Glue Gloss. A little bakers twine bow finishes it off. If you want to make and mail these, you might want to do them flat instead of using 3D Dots to adhere the tree and circles. That little added dimension can sometimes double the cost of postage!

hello! thanks for hopping with us today!

my project is an altered canvas; a gift for a friend who just had a baby girl. i started with Momenta’s Creative Canvas. the premade designs were adorable – but designed for a baby BOY! so I decided to alter the canvas using some pretty papers and cardstocks from Momenta jazzed up with inks and more from Clearsnap.

here’s the finished project…

i altered the script paper by using Schoolhouse and Vintage Mix’d Media Inx applied using the Stylus & Tip and CHL Cardmaking Template from Momenta…

and Chiffon Mix’d Media Inx and coordinating Embossing Powder to alter this printed paper…

Smooch Spritzes in Spun Sugar and Cashmere  and Sprays! in Strawberry were used to spritz printed papers, flowers, lace and ribbons. and Pralines and Cream Fairy Dust Glitter adds some pretty shimmer…

a few tiny touches, like a beautiful pearl head pin and hanging crystal and a safety pin with a tiny tag add  to the piece…

a frame, that was part of the embellishment pack for the canvas, was covered in kraft paper, then a design was added using Leather Mix’d Media Inx and the Momenta stencil…

a few pearl swirls and a name added with some vintage letter cards provided the finishing touches…

NOW… on to your next stop! scan down the list to the link marked ”GO HERE NEXT”. all the links are listed just in case you are jumping in at the middle or get lost along the way. enjoy the rest of the hop!

school days layout…

i’d like to share my montly design team project for the CLEARSNAP BLOG with you…

I love school supplies, well, now I call them “office” supplies, but it’s the same thing: notebook paper, pens, paper clips, staplers, hole punches, and all the other little doo-dads you can find at the office supply stores. I also collect vintage supplies, those are my favorites!

So, when Hampton Art released their new stamp sets for Graphic 45′s ABC Primer collection, I just had to have them. My son’s 4th grade school photos gave me the perfect chance to use them. But the photo was a little on the “bright” side to say the least, so it was a bit of a challenge to bring in the vintage touches I like but balance them with the crisp, primary colors in the photo.

The first thing I reached for was my ColorBox Premium Dye Inks by Stephanie Barnard; they are bright, vivid and clear and would work well with the colors in the photo. The next things I gathered up were some school themed stamps; including the ABC Primer stamps. Black and kraft cardstocks would serve as a base; black to set off the photo and kraft to lend a vintage feel. Then I found a few patterned papers that would fit in with the layout. For embellishments, I noticed that some felt flowers by Epiphany Crafts matched perfectly with the background color of the photo. Baker’s twine in red and brown worked with the theme and colors as well.

Here’s how all these supplies came together…

The colors coordinate with the photo, but their style along with the stamps used, embellishment choices and the distressing, make it a little vintage too.

here are a few closeups of all the little details…

If you’d like all the directions on how you can create this layout yourself, just hop on over to the CLEARSNAP BLOG!
thanks for letting me share this project with you!
