announcement!

i have been asked to join the COOKBOOKIN’ design team, and have excitedly accepted!

for those of you unfamiliar with the company, they design papers, stamps and embellishments relating to cooking. there are lots of designs and themes from holiday to everyday. in short, the perfect company to turn to for any cookbook or cooking related paper projects you might have.

to “kick off” my joining the Cookbookin’ team, i will be teaching a class using several of their lines at SCRAPBOOK COTTAGE on august 28

 — a 2011 recipe calendar…

each month is embellished differently, but each month has:

— a LARGE calendar with room to write info on the days as well as a note section 

— a LARGE pocket at the bottom with room to tuck recipes, coupons or other notes you might need for the month

— a feature recipe card to write your favorite seasonal recipe on

— stamped embellishments that coordinate with the theme for the month

my idea for the calendar was that as you run across recipes in magazines or newspapers, you could tuck them in the pocket for the month they would most likely be used in. picnic ideas? tuck them in july to use for those 4th of july picnics, grilling recipes? pop them in june, Christmas cookies or snacks? slip them in the december pocket and come Christmas 2011 – you won’t be wondering what you did with them! we all cut and tear out recipes, but when we finally get around to wanting to try them, most of us can’t remember where we put them! now they’ll be at hand, in one easy to find location. you can also tuck in coupons for any special items along with the recipe so you’ll know where to find them as well.

this calendar would make an EXCELLENT holiday gift for that hard-to-shop-for-has-everything-they-need person on your Christmas list! and, by making it now, you’ll be ahead already and able to cross one {or more} names off your list!
