crops of luv…

i just read an article about CROPS OF LUV...

Crops of Luv puts together scrapbooks for terminally ill children. they accept donations of cash, supplies or finished layouts. i’ve e-mailed them to see what types of supplies they accept since i am trying to clean out some of my supplies.

i was thinking that maybe a group of us might like to get together though and put together some layouts to send as well. i have TONS of papers and embellies that i purchased for kits, that are still sitting here. it would be easy to make lots of duplicate pages to send along with supplies.

please participate in the poll below if you would be interested in doing this!

project at crafts n’ things…

i just found out that a project i did for GRAFIX, was featured online and in their e-mail blast as a craft of the day at Crafts n’ Things…

if you’d like to check it out, you can click HERE

there are written directions and photos if you click on “make this craft“, or there is a button for a video tutorial that i did on YouTube for the project.

i also was excited to notice that Grafix included several of my projects in their collage of “50” in celebration for their fiftieth year. there is a birdhouse, an altered book and 2 banners in the “5”. you can see bigger pics of the projects HERE.

those of you who have took the “in the garden” altered book class or “french country” recipe binder might remember those wonderful custom embellies for the projects made from Grafix’s White Inkjet Shrink Film.  i have been playing with it quite a bit as it looks like a bisque clay after it is baked!

i’m SURE i’ll be able to work some Shrink Film in to that Steampunk Spells Altered Book! :)

after a L—O—N—G period of down time – anniversary trip to vegas and the battle of the staph infection that would not die, a B—I—G period of productivity!

i have been a busy little bee working on blog projects as well as finishing up a slew of class projects. i’ve also been updating and editing my blog – i still have a LOT to do, i realized i haven’t updated any of my links for favorite sites, blogs, designers, etc in AGES, and who knows when i updated my resume last! i don’t even know if i’ll remember what all i need to add to it! that’s it for scheduled classes, but i do have a few more “in the works”!

i’ll be teaching projects using stencils from The Crafter’s Workshop and inks from ClearSnap at both stores in the next few months. i recently did some projects for the TCW Blog; you can check out the posts here to get an idea of what you can do with the stencils. i will be teaching a tote bag class at Stamp Antonio, and an assortment of gifty bags and such for the holidays at Scrapbook N’ More. The Crafter’s Workshop will be loaning me LOTS of stencils so there will be PLENTY of terrific designs to choose from!

i am also working on a project using the NEW! Bohemian Bazaar from G45 AND… a Halloween themed altered book using G45’s NEW! Steampunk Spells! i’ve already started these, and am hoping to offer both classes at Stamp Antonio in August.

and, i KNOW i have inundated you with a LOT of info, but one last thing, i have started a facebook page JUST for my business side of things – TAMI SANDERS PAPER CRAFTER

that’s it for now! i hope you are all having a great summer!

day #2 on The Crafter’s Workshop Blog

for my second project as a guest designer on The Crafter’s Workshop Blog, i’ve posted another home decor project i made; a throw pillow for my oldest’s newly redecorated bedroom.

the project was made quick and easy thanks to stencils from The Crafter’s Workshop and ColorBox Crafter’s Inks.

here’s a preview pic of one of the pieces for the pillow; my custom “printed” fabric…

class info

a BIG thanks to carolyn for teaching PhotoFULL and money $aving $ketches for me this morning!

and a BIG thanks to all of you who took the classes and made it easy for carolyn!

carolyn called this afternoon and passed on your positive comments about the layouts, as well as letting me know all went well.

i had a follow up appointment with the doctor today, and all seems to be going well. so hopefully, my recovery will continue in that direction and I’ll be much more mobile soon.

i talked with susan at Scrapbook n’ More this evening and was happy to hear that the class was full and we were able to accommodate the wait list. i do plan on having the class, although I may not be able to walk around as much as I usually do! fortunately, I prepped for this class early, and had everything ready to go before I was laid up.

class update

i was hoping for something MUCH more monumental for my 500th post… but {sigh} such is life…

i am a little indisposed at the moment due to a staph infection, so tomorrow night’s photofull and money $aving class is cancelled.

the morning classes will be held as scheduled though and will be taught by carolyn; who was nice enough to volunteer to step in for me.

i’ve often said that i think all of my “regulars” could just teach themselves and that i didn’t need to be there to run the classes anymore – so we’ll see how that works tomorrow! LOL!

but you really won’t be on your own, as carolyn will be there to help you out. i’m headed over to stamp antonio now go over both classes with her.

if you have any questions about the classes, please contact me.
