then get ready to tear off the wrappings because it’s time for CHRISTMASTIME in july! this line is just GORGEOUS! very ELEGANT! it’s in a very traditional bright red, green and white and it is ALL dressed up for the holidays! glittery, frosty snowflakes, trees and gifts,  fabulous foils, sophisticated patterns, and yes Virginia – lots of fantastic embellies that coordinate beautifully!

here’s the layout i did using the line:

santas sleigh - 600

Heather has a fantastic layout featured on the Reminsice Blog, so be sure you head over there to check it out! and don’t forget to leave a comment about this line, and all the others too! Reminisce will be drawing 5 lucky winners from each collection’s comments to win a prize pack of that line!

Reminisce * day 5 of CHA Sneak Peek

if ONE amazing new halloween line wasn’t enough for you, then how about ANOTHER ONE?

that’s right! REMINISCE has just released another new halloween collection! this one is called TRICK OR TREAT, and it’s FABULOUS! Traditional black and orange with some ghoulishly fangtastic elements! There are LOTS and LOTS of great embellies for this line too – including one of my FAVES – a BIG diecut haunted house with an “attached” graveyard and BIG tree! i cut the tree apart and used it in my layout:

trick or treat - 600

be SURE to check out the REMINISCE BLOG and post a comment for your chance to win the collection AND check out Angela’s layout while you are there! Angela used the diecut as well, and she cut it apart too, but she used the whole thing on her layout! you might recognize the kids, since she didn’t have any “Scary” pics of her kiddos, she used some of my pics of Chris and Drew!

Reminisce * day 4 of CHA Sneak Peek!

Santa’s Workshop is up today!

this new Christmas line is SO adorable! love the santa! love the reindeer! love the colors! it’s just CUTE – CUTE – CUTE!

traditional bright crisp Christmas green and red paired with sky blue and white! there are LOTS of matching embellies too including 3D and chipboard stickers too!

here’s the project i made using the line:

santa's noel - decor - 600

paper mache ornaments have been covered in paper and embellished with some Reminisce goodies… they spell out NOEL, and hang from a painted wood key holder. i cut a background from chipboard and attached it the back of the key holder, then decorated it with MORE Reminisce embellishments! a wire hanger and a bit of ribbon finish it off.

MAKE SURE that you sled on over to the REMINISCE BLOG and post a comment about the line so you’ll have a chance to win this collection!

REMINISCE * day 3 of CHA Sneak Peek!

another new line is up at REMINISCE this morning! you can see their brand new fall line: AUTUMN FOREST, on the REMINISCE BLOG!

this line is so cute! i love fall papers! this one has all the “traditional” colors: browns, oranges, yellows and greens – but this line has a pop of red too! and apples, pears and cute little squirrels are among some of the designs included in this collection. i just LOVE the BIG 12 X 12 stitcker sheets that come with this line; one has adorable woodland animals and the other has a BIG sunflower, punmpkin, acorn, pear and some leaves to scatter around your project.

so scamper on over to the blog and check out the line as well as the AWESOME layout that Heather designed! you’ll want to scraplift it for sure! and don’t forget to leave a comment so you’ll be entered to win the collection!

REMINISCE – day 2 of CHA SNEAK PEEK!

another NEW line has been introduced over on the REMINISCE BLOG!

its a new HALLOWEEN line called: THE HALLOWEEN COLLECTION! i LOVE this line! i collect vintage holiday items, and this line reminds me SO MUCH Of vintage halloween decor from the 40’s. the colors are black, cream and orange, and the design elements are all classic halloween – black cats, witches, spiders and MORE!

so, i tried to pay homage to that fabulously classic era of All Hallows Eve decor in my project — a trick or treat bucket…

treat bucket - 600

the “trim” along the top of the bucket was made by randomly pleating torn strips of paper. lots of decor items from the 40’s were embellished with crimped or pleated tissue and crepe paper, so i wanted to include that design element in the project.

so, sneak on over to the Reminisce blog and take a peek and BE SURE to leave a comment so you can be entered to win a prize pack!

and, just for fun, why don’t you post a comment here about what you think i used as a base for my project?

Genuinely Jane Studios…

i’ve been selected as a guest designer for the month of august by Genuinely Jane Studios!

if you aren’t familiar with them and you like mini albums, you might want to check them out! they sell lots of wood mini albums, perfect for altering, as well as wood embellishments. you can paint them or cover them with papers.

more info and projects coming soon!

here is a layout i did using the SAFARI collection:

it’s that time again…

it’s just about time for CHA which means that companies will be releasing NEW products by the BUNCHES!

i’ve been busy, busy, busy cranking out projects for various companies and purposes. unfortunately, i can’t share a lot of them just yet — but hopefully soon! REMINISCE is releasing some REAL CUTE lines VERY soon, and when i get the go ahead, i’ll load up my projects to share with you! I DO have one thing that i CAN show you, but you’ll have to wait and read the rest of the post! LOL!

with the kiddos out for the summer, it just seems like the days fly by trying to take care of things and keep them busy. my dad finished his radiation treatments a few weeks ago — we have to wait a few more weeks before they can check and see if it worked — but then had to have angioplasty last week to put in a stent. he’s doing well now, but he and mom have been taking it a little easier lately. rob’s been working late the past few weeks trying to get caught up at work so that we can take a family vacation at the end of july. i feel like i’ve lost weeks, it seems like july just started, but it’s almost half over already!

i’m sorry my poor blog has been neglected – my apologies to those of you who read it regularly!

i was also busy this month getting ready for classes, i’ve already had 3 this month! i had my mom and me class on saturday, and here are some pics of the kids at work with their moms {and a few “big” kids who took the class alone ;)}:

[rockyou id=140542858&w=426&h=320]

i’ll be taking most of august off, so i won’t have my usual monday classes: photofull, sketch and crop and money $aving sketches – but don’t worry, they will be back in september. i WILL BE teaching 2 classes on saturday, august 22:

Mom & Me – Treasure Box with Log Book:

box and book - 600 and a Sea World Mini Album using the new UNDER THE SEA line by REMINISCE:

sw mini album

i did want to give you a little heads up about my classes too… my last mom & me class had 14 signed up, that translates to 28 people! fortunately, a few of those were kits, but room is getting limited. also, i only have a certain amount of product sometimes, so when a class fills up, it fills up! i only have 12 of the treasure boxes and the class is half full already. so if you are interested, please sign up ASAP!

another class that is quickly filling up is PHOTO-FULL! in the past, i’ve said it is okay to just sign up the day of the class, and it might still be okay in some instances. but i  had to actually “close” the class as full on monday – i had 30 people signed up! so, please, if you know you want to come, don’t wait until the last minute. the crop room is big, but there are only so many tables available and then that’s it!

another class note, i do have kits available for most of my classes, even PHOTO-FULL, SKETCH & CROP and MONEY $AVING SKETCHES. so if you can’t make a class in person, you can still get a kit. kits include all directions and photos of the project.

NOW — you’ve been patient so far by reading up to here { no fair if you scrolled down :( } so i’ll reward you with the little peek i mentioned above. i’ve been given the go ahead by CLEARSNAP to reveal their EIGHT BRAND NEW COLORS OF SMOOCH!!! so… drumroll please…….

color shot

from left to right, the new colors are: Taffy – a bright and beautiful bubble gum pink, Pool – a sparkly carribean aqua, Lucious Lime – a gorgeous green with some touches of gold and bronze, Grape Soda – a pearly fizzy lavendar, Cherry Chocolate – the name says it all!  rich and lucious!, Nautical Navy – a proper royal blue, Molasses – a deep bronzy brown and Snickerdoodle, a creamy vanilla.

i’ll have projects up using these soon {hopefully!}

well, that catches me up a little bit at least. i’ll try my best to have more eye candy up for you soon!

NEW Reminisce! and Sea World layout!

hi all!

sorry i haven’t been posting very often lately, things are a little hectic with the kiddos home for the summer. i haven’t had much time to create things to share!

but today, i DO have not 1, but 2 things to share with you!

first up is a Sea World layout; it is a sample page that i did at my LSS – aka Scrapbook 911 – using the new Under the Sea collection by Reminisce!

sea world layout

i haven’t had a chance to figure out which of my Sea World photos i’m going to put on it! but i have PLENTY of them to select from!

next up is a layout using another new line from Reminisce; their Signature Series #2; i used the Bath Time and Preschool papers and Bath Time stickers to create it…

just ducky - 600

the Signature Series #2 line has a total of 22 double sided papers and 30 sticker sheets in a variety of themes – some of which can be hard to find – like: baptism, confirmation, fishing, hunting, twins, paintball, recipe, adoption and performance.

hope you enjoy these projects, and hopefully i’ll be able to post some CHA sneak peeks soon!
