you can find more info on these two class series by clicking on: CLASS INFO PHOTOFULL or CLASS INFO MONEY $AVING $KETCHES.

this is the first month with location changes, so here is the rundown…

you can attend one or both of these classes this coming tuesday, march 25, from 10:30 to 1:30 at Scrapbook N’ More in new braunfels

please call (830) 214-1690 for more info or to sign up. cost of EACH class is $15 and does include your choice of $5 in supplies. since this IS the first month with some students that used to attend these classes at Stamp Antonio making the switch to Scrapbook N’ More, it would be appreciated if you would call in advance to sign up. it will help the store decide how best to set up the room if they have an accurate count of attendees. that is NOT to say that last minute sign ups or walk ins will be turned away. if you do decide to come last minute or if you just didn’t sign up – PLEASE STILL COME!

Linda Norman will also be teaching this class at her home starting in april

Linda’s first class will be april 10 at 10:30. Linda has been taking my classes for awhile, and was nice enough to offer to teach these classes for those of you who liked them, but can’t make it out to new braunfels. Linda will be working a month behind… for instance, the PF and M$$ classes i teach in march at Scrapbook N’ More, will be offered by Linda in April. you can contact Linda at: scrappytherapy@satx.rr.com to sign up or for more information.

via e-mail

if you can’t make the classes at Scrapbook N’ More or at Linda’s, then you can get them by e-mail. please contact me to set up either or both of these classes through e-mail. please click on the contact me tab and let me know you are interested, and i’ll get back to you with the details.

thanks to all who have continued to take and support these 2 classes through the years and all the location changes.

“away we go” travel altered book

introducing…

the next altered book in my series of altered book classes… “away we go” travel themed altered book…

away we go collage 1

away we go - collage 2

this book is designed differently from the other books in this series; there is room for lots of photos, several places for travel notes and pockets to stash souvenirs from your trip. features include several pull outs and a tabbed photo section too.

as usual, lots of great trinkets and treasures from my stash: vintage wooden model airplane propellers, “wings” pins given to kids flying in days past, charms, tokens, old maps and pages from atlases, vintage postcards and stereo cards, travel tickets from the 40’s and lots of custom embellies created just for this project.

this class is almost full and no more seats can be added due to limited parts and pieces. if you are interested, please call Scrapbook N’ More at (830) 214-1690 for information or to sign up.  we’ll keep a waitlist for the class in case slots open up due to cancellations.

a light lunch and snacks are included in the cost of the class and will be served about halfway through the class. alternately, if students prefer to purchase lunch, the store will take orders in advance for delivery during break.

you can view the supply list for the class HERE.

thanks to everyone for the continued interest in this class series.

graphic 45 design team 2014 audition

those of you who know me, know i love all things vintage, and that includes Graphic 45.

Graphic 45 takes inspirations, influences and images from the past and gives them new life in their papers and embellishments.

i have thought about trying out for their design team for several years now. i use G45 products in many of my classes, particularly in my altered book class series. this year, i decided i was going to do more than just THINK about trying out for the team, i was going to actually DO it! i did make the mistake of checking out the other entrants audition blog posts – that almost scared me off! there are some FABULOUS artists out there doing some AMAZING things with G45. me, i’m a crafter, not an artist, but i’m proud to be crafty.

as part of the submission process, i need to show 6 projects that i have designed, preferably created with G45 products. finding projects i done featuring G45 lines was easy, deciding WHICH 6 projects to show was the hard part!

the following projects are the 6 i decided to present, but if you’d like to see a few more of my G45 projects, you can view them here. please click on any picture to enlarge it…

BOHO CHIC” acrylic mini album featuring G45’s Bohemian Bazaar papers

2013-06 boho chic acrylic mini album collage (1280x853)

IN THE GARDEN” altered book featuring G45’s Secret Garden papers

STEAMPUNK TIME TRAVELER” halloween layout featuring G45’s Happy Haunting papers…

drew halloween 2011 g45 layout (1280x640)

BY THE SEA” altered book featuring G45’s Tropical Travelogue papers…

beach altered book - by the sea promo - watermarked (1024x640)

all of these projects, with the exception of the “steampunk time traveler” layout, were designed for classes. Graphic 45’s mix of small and large prints in their papers as well as their great “cut-a-ble” sheets, make them a favorite of mine for classes.

thank you to Graphic 45 for their consideration…

psst… it’s all done…

i feel like i’ve given birth to another child! LOL!

i FINALLY finished the travel altered book after days of being locked away in my studio!

i had NO idea that i had collected so much travel “junque”. it took quite awhile to try to work as much of it in as i could.

this book is a lot different than the other altered books i’ve done; there are two or three times more places for fabulous vacation pics and plenty of pockets to tuck little paper treasures.

there are also many custom created embellishments designed JUST for this book.

so…

wanna peek? it will be a day or two before i get a chance to take pics and get a FULL announcement ready, but i’ve snapped a few pics to give you a little taste {and yes, the propeller spins!}…

cover (830x1024)  open (1024x802)

spine (496x1024) pic section (683x1024)

 pull out 1 (817x1024)  stereo card (729x1024)

tags (746x1024) ticket envie (777x1024)

travel journal (743x1024) pullout 2 (1024x656)

thanks to all of you who have already signed up for this class site unseen – i hope the finished book does not disappoint!

if you haven’t signed up and are interested, please plan to sign up soon. there are a few less seats due to the size of the crop room at Scrapbook N’ More. if you haven’t been by the store – the crop room IS nice and roomy, but layout and table sizes differ from Stamp Antonio. Everyone should be able to have their own table though.

thanks for the continued interest in this class series!
