school and sports layouts…

busy morning!

I’ve been working on school photos. these sports and band layouts won’t win any awards— but they are DONE!

i was happy with how this 5th grade layout of chris turned out. when i bought this particular school line i wondered why i was buying it as the colors didn’t really go with what the kids really wear. but the line went FAB with this pic and the green in chris’ shirt matched the paper PER-fectly…

maybe i’ve got time for one more!

2 more layouts to share…

here are 2 more layouts that I finished late last night (aka: early this morning). they are different variations of the same Easter layout – one for each of my boys…

i’ll be using this layout for my PhotoFULL class on tuesday, 4/29, at scrapbook n’ more.

can you guess where i fit 18 plus photos on EACH of these 2 page layouts?

if you want to get MORE photos on YOUR layouts, make plans to attend the class!

a scrapp’n weekend…

i am at jane’s retreat this weekend, working on my OWN layouts!

i got 5 layouts done last night…

i am trying to actually USE some of my supplies that i have stockpiled, and one of my new favorite techniques is to cover raw chipboard with washi tape. the hearts in the close up of the valentine layout were done that way.

and I know there are only 4 layouts pictured, but I made 2 copies of the wicked layout – one for each kiddo!

more layouts later — hopefully!

scrapbook n’ more

here’s a pic that susan at scrapbook n’ more took at my altered book class last saturday … we had a great group of ladies!

Photo: What a wonderful group of ladies in today's class!

as you can see, Scrapbook n’ More has a NICE, LARGE workroom! check out their classes and crops on their website – SCRAPBOOK N’ MORE

you can also see when new stuff comes in by checking out Scrapbook n’ More’s facebook page.

susan just got in a TON of new product! all kinds of papers, embellies and supplies INCLUDING NEW! Basic Grey! for those of you who have been looking for Basic Grey, you need to head to new braunfels. there are papers, pads and embellies OH MY!

Scrapbook n’ More is the last full fledged scrapbook store for quite a stretch, so we need to support it to keep it open! it’s not too far from san antonio either, just about 15-20 minutes from 1604 and i35n. take i35n to exit 189 and take the turnaround. the road runs right into the shopping center; it’s where the new alamo drafthouse and mamcita’s are.

grab a friend and make it a mini road trip. the fork and spoon restaurant there in the shopping center is an EXCELLENT place for breakfast, lunch or brunch!

card sketch!

i have a NEW! card sketch up over on the Clearsnap Blog!

the sample card features the NEW! ColorBox Blends as well as two NEW! stencils from The Crafter’s Workshop.

you can see the post HERE.

if you like the sketch, please leave a comment! this is a monthly series that i would like to keep going if it is enjoyed.

luggage packed… ready for my trip!

what is this HUGE stack of assorted boxes and bags stacked behind my couch???!!!

altered book class (1024x683)

if you guessed the supplies for my altered book class – “away we go” – tomorrow you would have guessed RIGHT! {and i still have an ice chest of food to add}

it is AMAZING the amount of STUFF i have to haul to these altered book classes – i’m getting too old for this :)

usually, my hubbie gets me up, fixes my breakfast, makes a sonic run and brings me a ENORMOUS tea for the day, and he and the boys load me up. but SADLY, tomorrow, i am all on my own :(

i actually have to get myself up, fix my own breakfast and tea AND load all this stuff in the car! someone better call and make sure i’m up tomorrow – LOL!

i’ve been over all the details – three times – double checked all the supplies, triple counted all the kits, and bought all the food. all that’s left is to make the salad and sammies and get to bed EARLY for once.

thanks again to ALL OF YOU who signed up SO quickly! i can’t tell you how much i appreciate it, as it allows me to start my prep earlier and finish earlier.

see ya tomorrow!

guest blogger on TCW

i was a guest blogger this week on The Crafter’s Workshop Blog.

i made a necklace using a TCW template, colored pencils and a NEW! shrink plastic from Grafix: Super Sanded. Super Sanded shrink plastic is specially made to work well with colored pencils.

TCW has HUNDREDS of templates in different styles and themes to use for projects in lots of different medias.
