karen and i got up early in order to try to get as much done as possible.
we had muffins in the lobby – yum! then caught a bus to MOMA…
there is something awe inspiring when standing in front of a Van Gogh or Picasso…
i SO wanted to reach out and touch them – but didn’t want to spend any of my limited time in jail! lol!
while there was plenty of art that I loved…
there were also some I just didn’t get…
don’t know how to comment on this…
checkers anyone?
metallic poop?
there is paint on this canvas – really…
yes – this last one is a distressed {aka dirty} pair of underwear! yuck!
we had lunch at the cafe in the museum and it was delicious. the panninis had that perfect “crunch” and a summer crisp was the perfect dessert.
karen and i also viewed the Latin America architectural exhibit. the art on the plans and scale models was as interesting as the buildings themselves.
we had a little time before our play that evening, so we shopped at the MOMA store.
then a short walk through time’s square…
to the Walter Kerr theater to see a Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder…
i really wanted some NY cheesecake, so we went to Junior’s for dinner…
i had a HUGE lobster roll – BIG chunks of lobster…
we dug into the cheesecake before I thought to snap a pic; it was SO creamy and SO delicious!
took a taxi back to hotel to get a few winks before a busy last day!
