santa!

my son took pictures with santa at his school a few weeks ago…

i KNEW they were coming up, but for some reason, i was a week off with the dates. i had to RACE to the store to find him a christmas outfit so he wouldn’t have to sit on santa’s knee in his school uniform!

the photos came out nice though, and i was anxious to use it on a layout. i worked on it during the retreat at SB911 last weekend. i must have pulled 25 papers, i tried this, and that, and this and that, and that and this – but nothing was working. i think i was trying to hard. i wanted to do something REALLY special, and i think THAT was the problem. my scrapp’n gals tinka and charlotte gave me some suggestions and i ended up abandoning my “artsy” approach for something simpler, and i amd happy with how it turned out – see what you think…

i didn’t note all the supplies and names, since i was working on my PERSONAL scrapbooking! lol! but the printed kraft cardstock background is from jillibean soup, the red paper is from fibermark,  the “dear santa” paper is from webster’s pages, the reindeer felt is from queen and company and the numbers are thickers.

i am going to have chris write his letter to santa on the layout. i think it will be a cute momento.

well, i don’t know how much more i’ll be posting this year, a few more at least! things are getting REALLY busy, as i’m sure they are for everyone – so i’m SURE you guys won’t have as much time to read blogs either – so it’ll work out! LOL!
