hello!
i have started work on my {school years} altered book class!
the papers for the book will be from Graphic 45’s ABC PRIMER collection.
i began pulling pieces and parts from my “junque” stash to use for this book; below is a collage pic of what i’ve selected so far…
i have more goodies to add and i don’t know if all of the above items WILL be included, but i’ll do my best to get as much as i can in!
i think the front cover will have a chalkboard on it, but not sure of the size as yet. i’m playing with a few different sizes and styles.
i am hoping to get the sample book done in the next week or so and will be posting pictures when it is finished.
now, some of the details:
i had scheduled this class with Scrapbook N’ More for may 2 a few months back. unfortunately, neither of us realized that was National Scrapbook Day. susan is planning crops for that weekend, so the class needed to be moved. so it has been rescheduled for may 3. the good news is that if you would like to make a nice long weekend of cropping and crafting, you can plan on attending the crops and staying for the class. you may leave your supplies there for the duration if you attend all events.
i have not set a time or cost yet, but will do so soon. there will also be some info coming on payment and cancellation periods for the altered book classes. you can begin signing up for this class on april 1; i should have all the details set by then.
if you are interested in this class, please sign up as soon as possible on or after april 1. going forward, i will not be adding spaces to my altered book classes. it is very difficult, time consuming and usually costly, to try and locate and purchase more of the unique items i use for these books. it also creates extra work and confusion for the store. whatever quantities i have on hand will determine class size.
thanks for the continued interest in this class series…
Tami,
Looking forward to it! Question: Will this book work as a personal photo album for an adult? I don’t have children and I’m thinking I might want to use it for myself. However, if it’s too babyish it probably won’t work. LMK.

I don’t think it will be “baby-ish”. the colors remind me of “olde” school colors: brick red, school bus yellow, dark blue – look over the papers in the G45 collection I link to.
So. Much. YES!!!! LOVE this!!
