clearsnap box opening

first, apologies to those of you who got a notice of a new post today only to find it gone. it was a test post, i was trying to get a post ready for a blog hop next week and i could not get my Snapguide to embed properly. took quite awhile with wordpress tech support, but finally figured it out. they wanted me to test out the link and i forgot to turn off my automatic “shares” before i posted.

look for the Blog Hop on march 27, it will feature some fabulous trims from Expo International.

now for the fun part! i got a big box of new products from {CLEARSNAP} today and i thought i’d share what was in it.

would you like to open it with me? if so, please watch this video to see what’s inside!

i’ll be using the Dye-Stress Inks for some april design team projects, and the Paintbox and Petal Point Pigment Inks for may projects.

here’s a few of the projects i’ve done recently using the Dye-Stress Inks; i used both of them in my new header at the top of my blog. the Dye-Stress Inks are REALLY fun to play with. they are SO blendable; very unique in a dye ink. you can also watercolor with them.

this “Grow” flower vase project  was made by inking book pages with several colors of the Dye-Stress Inks, then spritzing them with water; they made such pretty patterns on the papers. then i adhered the papers to some chipboard pieces {GRAFIX} and tied them all together. wire holds on the mini vases.

the butterfly heart collage utilized a $1 store heart and vintage book pages as the base. the butterflies were first stamped in Black Mixed Media Ink, then hand tinted with the Dye-Stress Inks. If you want to fill in a stamped design, remember that the Dye-Stress Inks are BLENDABLE, so you need to stamp your image in a permanent ink, or emboss it. guess who found that out the hard way! LOL! the inks tend to “reactivate” themselves, so colors do blend together beautifully, but that unique property will also apply itself to your stamped image if you stamp it with the Dye-Stress, then fill in with the Dye-Stress.

in addition to a fresh look here, i’m also revamping my instagram account, not much there yet, but working on adding to it. you can find me @tami.paper.crafter, please follow me if you’d like to see new projects as i add them.

  1. Hiya Tami! Are you going to do any teaching at the scrapbook store in New Braunfels in the future? I miss your classes! And of course I miss you!

please leave a comment; i'd love to hear from you!
