NAMTA in san antonio

hi all,

i spent today and will spend tomorrow demoing for The Crafter’s Workshop and Grafix at NAMTA — National Art Materials Trade Association.

TCW has a fabulous line of mixed media mediums and acrylic paints in addition to their extensive line of stencils, that they were featuring at the show.

the TCW Modeling Pastes are creamy smooth and spread like buttah! and the acrylic paints are heavy bodied and are likewise creamy. they can be used full strength or diluted to give a soft wash of color. they can also be mixed into the TCW Gel Mediums or Pastes. all the products are water based and play well with each other.

Grafix was promoting their new extension to their Craft Plastics line – Opaque White Craft Plastic Film. it is similar to Yupo. i had terrific fun trying it out with a variety of paints and inks. the effects you can create using this film are fabulous! creating unique background designs is simple and quick. mediums can be layered and reworked or embellished with stamps and more to create collages, cards, journal covers, you name it! it also diecut and sewed – yep! i said SEWED! beautifully!

i just added some projects using the Opaque White Craft Film to my Instagram – tami.paper.crafter – you can find a link in my sidebar.

Ken Oliver was doing the afternoon demo at TCW, we got to chat a bit, and he was nice enough to show me some techniques with his Color Burst watercolor powders. TCW will be carrying special new sets of color trios.

here are some pics from the show, i forgot to take any at TCW this morning, but hope to add some tomorrow…

getting paid to play is a pretty sweet job!

please leave a comment; i'd love to hear from you!
