happy 4th ya’ll! hoping the weather holds so we can grill some hot dogs tomorrow!
the weather has been pretty unpredictable here in san antonio lately; blazingly sunny one minute, then dark clouds and rain the next. today we had a mix; hotter than heck while we were trying to clean out some flower beds. then after we went inside, it got cloudy and cooled off – of COURSE it cooled off AFTER we were done!
my son decided to celebrate early; he came home with friends and fireworks! they had a good time shooting off firecrackers and roman candles. i was on hand to “supervise”! lol!
i got a few good pics; that will be a layout i’ll be working at during the upcoming retreat at Engage!
i wanted to share a couple patriotic projects with you to celebrate independence day.
i altered this jumbo wooden tag from Clear Scraps last year. It is embellished using some of their stencils and chipboard embellishments. The tag is large enough to make a nice decor piece or to hang on the door.

I spent SO much time on this next project, i sure wish i knew where it ended up!
I had found some adorable vintage images online and wanted to use them for a patriotic project. I was able to incorporate them into this banner…

I sure hope the weather cooperates for you if you are planning a cookout!
wishing ya plenty of sunshine and cool breezes! happy 4th!
