Reminisce will also be selecting three other winners that will each receive their choice of one of the five lines featured on the hop. all you have to do to be entered, is to post a comment to the BLOG HOP POST of each blog you visit, then leave a comment on the REMINISCE BLOG under their BLOG HOP POST as well {make sure you use the SAME name each time!}. Winners will be announced on the REMINISCE BLOG tuesday, march 15th – so make SURE you go by and visit to see if YOUR name is listed!

for my project, i used the HOLLYWOOD part of the new REMINISCE CELEBRATION SERIES. my hubbie is a HUGE film buff, so i thought a party set using this line for his birthday would be a great idea!

the set includes an invitation with a popcorn bucket pocket holding the party info on film strips, a marquee-style centerpiece, a movie journal as a favor, and a clapboard place card.

here’s a closer look at the place card, as well as directions for how to make it…

the base of the place card is grey cardstock with a piece of GOLD CHAIN glitter cardstock from the GLITTER FACTORY line matted on the front. the clapboard sticker from the HOLLYWOOD ICON 12 X 12 STICKER was cut apart between the 2 striped boards and around  the hinge {keep the hinge attached to the bottom piece}, then both pieces were mounted on cardstock and cut out {cut straight across the bottom of the top piece of the clapper, don’t cut out around where the hinge was removed}.  then, a hole was punched through the rivet in the hinge and through the top clapper piece. a brad was used to join them together again – but this time, as a working clapboard…

the swirl of filmstrip was made by adhering 2 of the film strip stickers from the HOLLYWOOD FOLDED QUOTE STICKER back to back, and then pulling the strip along the side of the table to make it curl. the strip was cut apart so that part of it could be adhered under the top portion of the glitter mat to extend up, and the longer part glued beneath the top strip and tacked to the front of the card to swirl down…

to add a little more bLinG, a few stars from the HOLLYWOOD 12 X 12 ICON STICKER were adhered back to back to pieces of wire with a pop dot in between…

and then to personalize the place card; letters from the REAL MAGIC 2010 line – RED FOIL ALPHABET STICKERS, were used to add the name. and stars from the HOLLYWOOD 12 X 12 ICON STICKER and a word from the HOLLYWOOD FOLDED QUOTE STICKER finish it off…

The REMINISCE CELEBRATION SERIES is a FANTASTIC line that is great for party sets and for layouts of those parties: be sure to check out the other parts of the line too: FIESTA, CASINO, WESTERN, BBQ and LUAU.

i hope you enjoyed your visit to my blog; I appreciate your dropping in. the next blog on your list is SHELLY MAXWELL’S BLOG: PAPER ART BY SHELLY.
