classes this week…

it’s a busy, busy week this week as far as classes go!

carolyn at Stamp Antonio will be teaching my PhotoFull and Money $aving Sketches classes for me tomorrow morning. i dropped off all the sample layouts and directions and went over everything with her tonight, so things should go smoothly tomorrow.

i’ll be doing the layouts and sketches for the Money $aving $ketches class, so the instructions will look like they used to – for those of you who have been taking this class awhile.

this saturday, october 12, i’ll be teaching 2 classes at Scrapbook n’ More in New Braunfels – both are projects have the holidays in mind.

first up, from 10:00 to 12:30 is a “watercolor” poinsettia decor piece…

in this class you will learn how to use ColorBox Archival Dye Inks as watercolors. but don’t feel that you need any “artistic” or “watercolor” experience to join in. this technique is easy-peasy and will have you FEELING like you are an artist in no time. vintage mercury glass beads and goodies from my stash bling up the plain black frame. cost is $20.

then from 1:30 to 5:30, we’ll be having a “get crafty” workshop…

{photos show samples of the types of designs you can make, your project will be uniquely your own!}

we’ll be using ColorBox Crafter’s Inks and stencils by The Crafter’s Workshop to embellish a tote bag. you’ll learn tips and techniques on how to use and combine the stencils to customize your own unique design and create a personalized tote for yourself or for a gift. you can stay for as long as you like and embellish additional items {aprons, child aprons and totes will be offered for $8 or less}. this class is a REAL bargain a $18 – which includes all the supplies and 1 tote. BUT, for an even better value, plan to come and make several items. you will want to arrive at 1:30 to see demos and to learn several techniques. and like with the “watercolor” poinsettia class, you do NOT have to BE an artist to FEEL like one! the stencils and inks are easy to use and you’ll be amazed at the wonderful designs YOU can create! this is a great opportunity to “play” with these products, i have DOZENS of stencils in a BIG variety of styles and themes. you can also put what you learn to work on your scrapbook pages, cardmaking and mix’d media projects. plan to come and have FUN getting INKY!

and then on sunday, october 13, i’ll be teaching my “Steampunk Spells” altered book class at Stamp Antonio. i was able to squeeze in a few more slots, but the class is completely full at this point. we’ll have “snack” time about halfway through class, but i want to really power through this class so you can get as MUCH of your book DONE IN CLASS as possible! i look forward to seeing you sunday! be ready to get BUSY and get MESSY!
