let’s Reminisce all day…

i’ll be holding a FULL day of classes featuring products by REMINISCE on saturday, april 21 at Scrapbook N’ More in new braunfels…

first, you can come and go anytime between 9:30 and 12:00 and make one or both of these layouts for only $10 each! you can’t buy the supplies to make them for that!

here’s a peak at the Disney Layout…

you have your choice of title — either disney or mickey…

and here’s a look at the Easter Layout…

please note that stickers on either layout may vary…

if you’d like to take a look at these layouts in person, you can view them at Scrapbook N’ More.

then, from 1:00 to 4:00, we’ll be making a Disney aLteReD book

the cost of this class is only $35, and includes everything you need to make it except the glue! also included in the class fee is a 12 X 12 flower sticker sheet and 2 – cardstock embellie sticker sheets! if you haven’t taken an altered book class before, don’t worry. i’ve developed some techniques to make it quick and easy. if you HAVE taken some of my altered book classes, then you’ll be able to put this together in NO time as it’s an easier version of my books. great way to display the BEST photos from your Disney trip or trips!

space in BOTH classes is limited, so please be sure to sign up soon if you’d like to attend. you can contact Susan at {830}214-1690 to sign up or to get more info.  you can sign up for a kit for either of the layouts; which will include a color photo and directions. but written directions will not be available for the Disney aLteReD book.

fall banner…

for my monthly design team project for Reminisce, i created a fall banner using wood leaves covered in the Harvest line paper and embellished with coordinating border stickers…

if you’d like to take a closer look and get more info on the project AND to check out other design team members projects, please visit the REMINISCE BLOG!

i hadn’t meant for him to wear BOTH the sunglasses and the hat, but he liked them, so there he is! all decked out in his red, white and blue independence day finery!

there is a tutorial on the REMINISCE BLOG as to how to make the pinwheels that i used on the page; you can see it here.

new line from REMINISCE…

REMINISCE has just released a brand new line for spring called IN BLOOM

it’s just BURSTIN’ with spring colors and flowers; perfect for photos of your spring garden, spring school pics, easter, weddings, etc…

i was asked to create a wedding themed set, so i did a garden themed bridal shower set

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

the set consists of an invitation, thank you note, a place card – in a cute little can with some flowers, a favor – a few spring bulbs in a pretty organza bag and a centerpiece – a garden hat embellished with flowers. i also thought the hat would look pretty hanging on the front door like a wreath.

i really loved the colors in this collection, they were muted, but not “light”, just soft and pretty. i really liked the way the papers and embellishments came together too!

look for this line in stores SOON!

new lines from reminisce…

if you have a toddler, you may want to start saving up your scrapbooking $$$…

REMINISCE has just released not 1, not 2, not even 3 but FOUR, count ’em FOUR super cute, super adorable lines that are just PERFECT for your little ones! not that they couldn’t be used for older kids too, but there is just NOT much out there in the way of scrapbooking lines for ages 2-5. so to get FOUR new lines all cuddly and cute like your kiddos is SUPER cool!

here’s a sneak peek at the new lines, click on the links for a full view:

CUTOPIA: which is just like it sounds – CUTE! think hearts, flowers, rainbows and unicorns, super girly and super fun!

SNOW BUDDIES: sweet little snowmen and polar bears in colorful scarves and hats frolicking among snowflakes! there is even a build your own snowman on the 12 X 12 sticker sheet!

SUPER HEROES: fluffly little animals in capes! pigs, pandas and more flying to the rescue! and they come complete with all the superhero “noises” too! ZAP! POW! SPLAT! i’m sure you have photos of your little superhero tucked away somewhere that need to be scrapped!

and last but not least, SPACE  BUDDIES: more cuddly, little cuties jetting off into space; rockets, spaceships and stars – oh my!

i was asked to create a layout and a project using the SPACE BUDDIES line, here’s what i did…

my Dad and chris made this “space suit” out of a box, he was so proud to show off not only the suit, but all the “special features” as well! this line worked perfectly to capture that moment. there are lots of colors in the line, which make it easy to work with too.

for my project, i made a birthday set…

the set includes an invite, hat and placecard. the placecard has lollipop planets made by just putting the planet stickers from the 12 X 12 sticker sheet over plain lollipops!

if you’d like to see what the dt gals did with the other lines, just head on over to the REMINISCE BLOG! comments are always appreciated!

new class scheduled…

i have scheduled a class at SCRAPBOOK COTTAGE featuring the new GINGERBREAD LANE line by REMINISCE

we’ll be making this 2 page PLUS layout…

i’m calling it a 2 page PLUS layout because there is room for at least 25 photos on it! this layout is made using some of my photoFULL layout techniques. almost everything will be precut, so you’ll be able to concentrate on putting the layout together and learning the techniques. everything you see is included EXCEPT for the title. i tried to keep the layout “Christmas-generic” so you could use if for whatever Christmas photos you had, decorating the tree, unwrapping gifts, or of course – this line would be perfect if you have Christmas baking or gingerbread house decorating photos to scrap. some of the papers are double sided, so you can select the more “theme-y” side if you chose.

so sign up and come find out where the space for all those photos is! the class will be on saturday, december 4 from 10:30 to 12:30. you can call SCRAPBOOK COTTAGE at {210} 494-4441 to sign up or to get more info.
