clearsnap projects!

i have been a BIG fan of the cat’s eye fluid chalk inks from Clearsnap for quite awhile. they are so quick and easy to use, and due to the small size, you can easily find room to store inks in every color of the rainbow! i use them for everything; inking edges of my papers, tinting chipboard to just the right color, stamping, etc. you name it, i’ve probably done it! LOL! if you taken any of my classes, you know they are almost ALWAYS on my supply list!

i recently got to play with more fun gadgets from clearsnap – some items from their Rollagraph line. i tried out some of their Jumbo Stamp Wheels paired up with their Ancient Page Inks. the wheels were really easy to load, and stamped perfectly; nice and even with good coverage. i made several quick & easy projects using them, and thought i’d share!

First, I made a few cards… i know the first two are a “little” out of season, but if you want to get a jump start on your Christmas cards, here are a few ideas! I’ve listed all the supplies as well as the directions needed to complete each project.

Change ink cartridge to Cobalt (make sure you clean stamp wheel after ink changes). Roll stamp over cardstock, stamping the entire piece. 3. Stamp verse using clear stamps inked with Dark Brown chalk ink.

and lastly… I made a quick layout using a “glam” shot i took of my son!

“Heartful of Love” layout:

Clearsnap products:

  • Rollagraph Jumbo Handle
  • Rollagraph Jumbo Stamp Wheel – Dancing Hearts
  • Ancient Page Jumbo Cartridge  – Coal Black
  • ColorBox Fluid Chalk Ink – Lime Pastel, Yellow Citrus, Warm Red, Charcoal, Prussian Blue and Rouge

Other products:

  • Worldwin – Light Heritage White cardstock
  • Prism – Intense Kiwi and Black
  • Signo – Gel Impact Pen – white
  • Ranger – Cut n’ Dry Foam
  • Q-Tips

Directions:

  1. Trim an 8 X 10 photo to approx 7 1/2″ X 8″. Mat first on black cardstock, then on white, then again on black. (white mat is about twice as wide as black mats)
  2. Cut 2 – 3″ X 12″ pieces of white cardstock, insert Coal Black ink cartridge in Rollagraph handle, then add Dancing Hearts Stamp Wheel. Roll stamp over cardstock, stamping the entire piece. Trim one piece to 11 1/2″ X 2 1/4″ and tint using chalk inks applied with Cut n’ Dry foam.  Color in small hearts using Warm Red chalk ink applied with a Q-Tips. Ink edges lightly with Charcoal chalk ink and mat on a 11 3/4″ X 2 1/2″ piece of black cardstock.
  3. Cut out 10 hearts from other stamped strip. Color 3 hearts using Yellow Citrus chalk ink, 2 using Lime Pastel chalk ink, 2 using Prussian Blue chalk ink, and 3 using Rouge chalk ink. Tint designs in hearts using chalk inks applied with Q-Tips. Ink edges of hearts using Warm Red chalk ink on the pink hearts, Rouge chalk ink on the yellow hearts, Lime Pastel chalk ink on the blue hearts and Yellow Citrus chalk ink on the green hearts.
  4. Freehand draw “L”, “V” and “E” letters on white cardstock; then cut them out. Color them as follows: “L” use Prussian Blue chalk ink with edges inked in Lime Pastel chalk ink, “V” use Rouge chalk ink with edges inked in Warm Red chalk ink and “E” colored with Lime Pastel chalk ink with edges done in Prussian Blue chalk ink. Ink the edges of all 3 letters lightly using Charcoal chalk ink.

Then put it all together…

First add black matted strip to bottom of page, then add photo. Adhere title to top of photo, using a 3D dot to adhere a heart in place of the “o”. Also use a 3D dot to adhere a pink heart over the child’s heart in the photo. Next add hearts along the right side of the photo, using 3D Dots to adhere 2 hearts on top of the stamped strip. Finally, add your journaling “heartfull of love” along the left side of photo using white pen.

and – that’s it… i hope you enjoy these!
