well my kids have been back in school for almost 2 months now, time sure flies! i took pics – as i’m sure most of you that have school age kids do – of them on the first day of school. i always try to get them to pose nice and smile – yeah right! backpacks are always a fun thing to include. backpacks and lunch boxes are such a reflection of their “faves” at the time. this year – both my sons chose camo back packs. chris is big into “soldier – stuff” so that was no surprise for him but drew has never expressed the same interest. but while shopping for new BTS supplies, drew pulled out a camo bag and showed it to chris. chris of course loved it! and then drew surprised me by choosing a similar bag. i’d LOVE if this spririt of brotherhood extended past choosing backpacks! LOL! we’ll see if i can sell them on co-ordinating halloween costumes this year! we haven’t gone shopping for them yet. i’ll save that for another time (i have some halloween layouts for you coming up later this month!)
i did manage to snap a few fairly good shots, and used them on this layout featuring the new JACK’S WORLD line by COSMO CRICKET…

i like this line and was happy that it went with my photos. the colors and designs remind me of a 1950’s school house. i think this line would be great for toddler pages too.
