i just added a few new links for upcoming classes at SCRAPBOOK 911, and i wanted to give you a preview of 2 of them…
first, i’ve added a class in april, it’s another Mom & Me class. i usually try to schedule this class every 4 to 6 weeks, but since Easter was so late and Mother’s Day is early, i had to schedule 2 classes in the same month! so for those of you who come regularly, i wanted to let you know that there was a NEW class for april! we will be making a flower and photo filled mini book that will be a perfect mother’s day gift for you – or grandma. i think it will be a very special gift since you and your child will be working together to create it! just plan on bringing your photos with you, so the book will be all finished and ready to GIFT!

next up, is a different kind of class… i had been asked to alter a pair of holey soles shoes for cha awhile back and designed various flowers from rick rack to cover them…
i’ve been wanting to do a how-to class for making the flowers for awhile now, and have finally decided to DO IT!
so, we’ll be learning how to make a few different types of flowers in the class, and then, we’ll be using them to embellish a fresh and fun springy layout. only BASIC sewing skills are required, so don’t let that scare you off!

the flowers really aren’t that hard to make, and you DON’T have to be an expert at hand stitching! and once you’ve learned how to make them, you can use them to embellish all sorts of things, home decor’, wearables, cards, etc.
AND – for you day-timers, don’t forget about SKETCH & MORE on monday, april 20th! you get to make 1 – 2 page layout using my sketch, then you get to make something else using the leftovers!
