hello! welcome to the Clearsnap and CardMaker Blog Hop!
i hope you have enjoyed all the fab projects you have seen so far!
i have a card to share using Izink Ink made by Aladine and distributed by Clearsnap…
Izink Inks are a hybrid of pigment ink and acrylic paint. they work well on a variety of different medias, dry quickly and have a pretty shimmer. they also come in LOTS of gorgeous colors.
Clearsnap will be giving away some Izink Inks, so be SURE to get all the details on the CLEARSNAP BLOG and play along to WIN!
i made all the inked and stamped pieces of the scene using the same 5 step process:
1} add a few drops of Izink in a few different colors from the same color family on a piece of waxed paper {like Bamboo, Avocado and Cactus for the green}
2} dab the colors with the ColorBox® Color Blender to load the sponge with ink, being careful not to overblend
3} press the Color Blender along a piece of white cardstock, making consecutive blocks of color, reloading as needed; set aside to dry or heat set
4} place the Say What? Rollagraph® Jumbo Design Wheel in the Jumbo Handle and load with ColorBox® Frost White Pigment Ink, roll across Izink inked paper ; heat set
5} stamp design using ColorBox® Wicked Black Archival Dye Ink
after all the pieces were inked and stamped, i cut them out. i also decided to make the door and windows of the house from different colors, so they were stamped and cut out, then adhered to the house.
to ” set the scene”, i punched out a 3″ scalloped circle to use as a mask, held it in place on the card front using a bit of blue tape, then inked around it using Mimosa, Citronella and a little Jasmine loaded on a damp Color Blender Sponge.
once that was dry, i used a 2 1/2″ circle punch to create the sky – trimming off the bottom of the circle, and to make the grass – cutting a curvy line across the top part to make a hill. these 2 pieces were arranged in the center of the masked off area of the card.
then all the pieces of the scene were arranged and glued. i stamped some clouds on remnants of the blue inked piece using the Frost White Pigment Ink, and cut them out to use to add some dimension to the sky…
to finish off the card, i stamped a border and sentiment at the bottom using Wicked Black Dye Ink.
