hi all,
have you been working on making valentines with your kiddos? cupcakes or cookies maybe? made a card or project for your special someone or best friend?
valentine’s day is a fun holiday to create for. all those pretty pinks and reds and conversation heart pastels. am i right?
well, i do like those colors but sometimes i like to jump outta the box instead of in it; to use colors maybe a little bit unexpected, like in this valentine’s day card..
i thought the mix of colors and patterns gave the card a romantic shabby chic vibe. plus, if you maybe left off the flowers, it would make a nice masculine card.
but i think it would work well for other occasions as well like an anniversary or wedding.
i used 2 chipboard embellishments from Clear Scraps on the card: Double Hearts and Blessed Word Title. The frame around the card was actually a freebie; it is part of the packaging for the Double Heart Chipboard Embellishment. but you gals know how i love to use the “trash” bits and pieces.
Zip Dry, my favorite paper adhesive, was used to adhere all the pieces and all the paints for the card are from DecoArt.

have a blessed valentine’s day!
