“steampunk spells” halloween altered book REVEALED!!!

thanks to all of you who have been patiently waiting for the NEXT book in my series of altered books…

“STEAMPUNK SPELLS” halloween altered book!

i have been collecting “junque” for this book for MONTHS, experimenting with different folds for WEEKS,  trying to finish the sample for DAYS and working on designing the details of each page for HOURS! i feel as though there should be a trumpet or a drumroll  here, but no sound so here it is! there were so many details i wanted to show you that i actually created TWO collages, take a look {if you click on a photo, you should be able to see a larger pic}…

there will also be alot of stamping, inking, glittering, spritzing and MORE fun and messy bits in this book. we’ll be using lots of fab products from Clearsnap such as ColorBox Chalk Ink, ColorBox Archival Dye Ink, Smooch Spritz, Fairy Dust Glitter AND the new Surfacez Inks! and just to give you an idea of the HUGE amount of “junque” you are getting with this class, i took photos of all the supplies i pulled to use on this project…

and i forgot to take pics of the AWESOME vintage 40’s optometrist test lenses i bought! but that’s what the “monocle” piece on the cover is.

i think this book has MORE embellies than any other book i’ve done! as you can see by this MASSIVE amount of items from my stash that it will take quite awhile to prep for this class. and sorting and counting is only part of it. there is LOTS of ephemera to print, metals to rust, trims to ink and dye, embellies to make and i’ll also be stamping some of the items in advance to save you time in class.

so PLEASE, if you are interested, sign up early! i’ll have to start prep several days ahead of the class, which means i’ll have to have a final count for the class in advance which unfortunately means that i may not be able to accommodate late sign ups. i am still finalizing all the details, but the class will be held on sunday, october 13 at Stamp Antonio. i should have price and time info in the next day or so. i’ll post it as soon as i have it! thanks for all the interest in this class, i hope it will be SPOOK-tacular!
