hello all,
i wanted to share some photos from Creativation 2019…
i had a little time between demos to wander around and see what was new. there were a LOT of new stamp and die companies and i found a few new paper companies, but not too many.
one thing that really caught my eye was a new product by CARABELLE STUDIOS, they are collage style stamps that work with GEL PRESS plates. (gel press has some new petite shaped plates that i liked too!) i watched Carabelle Studios designer Alexi work and i wish i had asked to take a video. some people like me are “crafters”, and some, like Alexi are “artists”! he was so fun to watch, like a mad scientists of inks and paints, i was amazed at all the different products and techniques he used on one collage, and it was fabulous!
another new company that i liked was RINEA. Rinea makes a gorgeous foil PAPER, it looks like foil, has a beautiful sheen and comes in textures too, but it tears like paper. it folds beautifully, sharp and crisp and is very durable, but thin. i’m looking forward to playing with it!
AUTHENTIQUE always has great papers, and their new baby line Swaddle really appealed to me. coincidentally, i found some FABULOUS baby bits during my shopping in Phoenix, and i’ve talked to Susan at SCRAPBOOK n’ MORE about doing an altered book with the line. i also liked their Frontier line, thinking it might be nice for a Texas altered book and Mister for father’s day maybe.
i put together a slide show with my photos from the show. i’ve also included pics of my demos for Clearsnap and at the Designer Section Booth and some of my projects displayed in the Clearsnap booth…
i’m still working on adding photos to my galleries and to instagram, work in progress!
and i will share some photos from phoenix and of my shopping there later this week.
