creative canvas class

hi!

i’ve finished the sample for the Creative Canvas Class and dropped it by Scrapbook N’ More today. coincidentally, susan was pricing and stocking a HUGE order of stencils from The Crafter’s Workshop! lots of GREAT designs!

here are the deets for the class:

date: saturday, nov. 8

time: 12:00 to 4:30

cost: $35

supplies: 4X6 or 5 X 5 photo, zip dry or 3-in-1 glue {or both if you have them}, 3D foam squares or tape andu heat gun {there will be a few heat guns you can use in class, but you’ll be doing a LOT of drying, so bring your own if you have one!}

YOUR canvas won’t look just like mine – unless you want it to. YOU will select your own ink colors, stencils and accessories to create your own UNIQUE canvas. before you start on your own canvas, i’ll show you some simple techniques so you can learn how to add layers of ink and patterns to add depth to your project and we’ll also work on techniques for adding texture.

i have DOZENS of stencils in all sorts of designs, patterns and themes from The Crafter’s Workshop for you to use…

i also have lots of pigment inks in gorgeous rich, creamy colors – Mix’d Media Inx from Clearsnap…

as well as some specialty inks from Aladine, distributed by Clearsnap, Izinks – which are a hybrid mix of ink and paint and come in beautiful shimmery colors…

you’ll also learn how to hand-dye vintage seam binding to use on your canvas too…

you’ll  get to select accent ribbons, jute and cording as well as vintage trinkets and treasures to use to embellish and customize your canvas. i’ll have other embellishments to select from, so if keys and tape measures aren’t your thing, you can choose something else.

the class lasts 4 1/2 hours, so you’ll have lots of time to work on your project.

there is also a crop that night, and i’ll be hosting it! so you can plan to come and play all day if you like.

the crop will be from 5:00 to 11:00 and is $10. but if you sign up and pay by wednesday, november 5, you’ll get a $5 coupon that you can use to shop with crop night!

if you have unfinished “tami” projects like altered books, photoFULL or money $aving layout classes, bring them and i’ll be glad to help you with them. {if you want to work on an altered book, if you’ll use the contact me form at the top and let me know which book, i may be able to bring the sample book.}
